The Ossian

Ossian literally means “young deer” or fawn and is derived from the then Old lrish and is pronounced uh -SHEEN;often anglicised to Ossian or Osheen.

Built in 1880 as a private residence, the Ossian is situated in Kincraig a beautiful Highland village, where the River Spey flows through Loch inch, and also enjoys glorious views of the Cairngorm mountains and the wide Spey Valley.

With 40 years in residence, today Ossian is a family owned, traditional highland hotel in the Cairngorms National Park, close to Aviemore.

Owned and run by an award -winning publisher and a famous local chef, we offer the comforts and high standards of a friendly highland inn with 9 comfortable bedrooms, a lounge bar with an open fire and a wonderful restaurant with mountain views and where we serve excellent homemade food.
