Is the Ossian Inn located in a remote location?
No, we are located in the centre of Kincraig, which is a delightful village with a population of around 700 inhabitants.

Where is the Ossian Inn located in terms of Aviemore?
We are just 6 miles south along the B9152, an easy 8-minute drive.

Where can I park?
Car parking - We offer free, safe and secure of road parking along side the inn and to the rear. However, we cannot cater for large buses en-site, but coach parking is available nearby.

What facilities will I find at the Ossian Inn?
General - Restaurant, Bar, Garden, Non-Smoking Rooms, Rooms/Facilities for Disabled Guests, Safety Deposit Box,Heating, Luggage Storage, Ski Storage, All Public and Private spaces non-smoking.We have a drying room and laundry services and will do some light laundry for you for a small fee (ask at the time). We can also do light ironing, however irons are available to use in your room. We do not have any dry cleaning at the Ossian, however, we can arrange for this to be done in Aviemore.

Can I have breakfast in my room?
Yes, you can hace a continental style breakfast, please let us know the night before and we will arrange it for you.

Can I hire a bike?
Yes we can arrange this with prior notice for collection at the Ossian.

Can I order packed lunches?

Yes

Can I send and receive a fax?
Yes at 50p a sheet.

Can I do some photocopying?
Yes at 30p a sheet.

Can I go on-line with my wireless Lap Top?
Yes subject to signal strength, but when available its free of charge.

Can I send an email via the hotel?
Yes at 50p an email

Can I receive an email via the hotel?

Is there any car of van hire services locally?
Yes in Aviemore, please call us for details.

What is the Ossian’s Smoking Policy?
We are a strictly no smoking facility in all public rooms and bedrooms.

Can I arrange for pick up at the nearest airport?
Yes we can have you collected form Inverness Airport for a standard charge, call for details.

Can we arrange for pick up at the nearest train stations?
Yes we can pick up from either Aviemore or Kingussie’s train stations free of charge. Pick up is free of charge for single journeys.

Are there any taxi services?
Yes there are various taxi firms operating out of Aviemore and Kingussie, we can book a taxi for you or you can call then direct. Fares are charged as displayed, but as a guide a 6-mile journey may cost around £14.00

What types of payment does the Ossian accept?
We accept Pound Stering £, cheques with valid cheque and all major Credit Cards: American Express, Visa, Euro/Mastercard, JCB, Maestro, Solo, Switch, we do not accept Dinners Card. We also accept US Dollars, Euros and foreign Travellers cheques that we will calculate the exchange rate based on the daily Bank of England Exchange, for this service there is a 12% handling charge.

Can I bring a Pet?
We allow dogs only provided they are house trained and well behaved. For guest’s comfort and safety, we do not accept dangerous dog breeds such as Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire bull terrier’s, Bull mastiff or cross breeds of these types of dogs. Please call to let us know what type of dog you would like to bring. There is no charge for bring a dog, however, we do reserve the right to charge for cleaning if a dog fouls on a carpet. We can provide dog bowls if necessary, please advise prior to arrival.

What is the Ossian’s Booking and Cancellation Policy?
When you book we may ask for a valid credit card number to validate the booking. Bookings can be made via an email, the web or by calling us direct, however, we always require a written confirmation of the booking, either by email, fax or post. If you cancelled up to 4 days before date of arrival, we will not charge a cancellation fee. If you cancel within days of arrival, the full reservation will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Special periods: Bookings for the Christmas week, New Year week and school half term periods during February, are only accepted as firm bookings and payment is required at time of booking. No refund is payable if you cancel your stay unless it is due to circumstances caused by the Ossian.

What is included in my accommodation price?
Rooms for the date’s confirmed and full breakfast. All prices included VAT at the government’s standard rate.

When can I Check-in?
From 12:00 - 22:00 hours daily (we very flexable on times).

When do I have to Check-out?
Between 07:30 - 11:00 hours (we very flexable on times).
